Tomorrow, Saturday, marks the day for the 6th annual Beautiful Minds Walk down in Great Falls and the weather looks PERFECT! This walk raises awareness about recovery from mental illness while raising funds for the Center for Mental Health clients to attend conferences, purchase equipment, go on group outings and for emergency medications. The Center for Mental Health serves more than 6,000 people in 13 central Montana counties including our own Toole, Glacier, and Pondera counties. Registration and booths open tomorrow morning at 11 at Montana ExpoPark. Tomorrow's walk will feature music by the Drum Brothers, who will lead a drum circle at the event. The honorary chairs will be the Dennis and Jan Conner family. The Connor family has taken part in the walk for the past couple of years in memory of their son Michael Conner, a talented musician who battled schizophrenia. The Drum Brothers will play in Michael's honor. If you'd like to register for the walk, register a team or join a team, visit center4mh.or or call 791 9509. See you tomorrow to walk for those who need our help and understanding the most. Here in Shelby, the Center for Mental Health is located at 925 Oilfield Avenue. Their phone number is 434 5285.
