Full Amtrak service has returned to Shelby and the Hi Line. The Builder started rolling all the way from Chicago this week and once again full Amtrak passenger train service returns on the infamous Empire Builder route. Service had to be suspended last month from between Havre and Chicago because of the extreme flooding in the upper mid west.  Things are back to normal now with the exception that the passenger station in  Minot is still closed because of the flooding. Amtrak public relations man Marc Magliari is my special guest this afternoon (Thursday) long distance live from Amtrak headquarters in Chicago. That's where the Empire Builder starts out on it's way to the west coast. Marc is a great guy and has a great radio voice. Perhaps he should be running the Puffman Show and I should be out in Chicago directing trains. Magliari's no stranger to these parts...he's been to Shelby and literally loves the Empire Builder AND the Hi Line. It will be nice to have Marc back on the air this afternoon and it's really nice to see that our Empire Builder is back on the tracks with all 9 or 10 cars. I'll meet you in the club car and see you this afternoon with Marc Magliari at 4:35.  All aboard for sure!
