PEOPLE is reporting that singer Amy Winehouse may have been dead for “up to six hours” when her body was discovered by police mid-Saturday afternoon at her home in London.

According to the report, Rigor mortis had set in by the time police arrived, suggesting that Winehouse’s body had been dead for several hours.

No word yet on how the 27-year-old singer died, though sources for PEOPLE claim that there was “no paraphernalia or sign of drugs” at the scene.

As of Friday, Winehouse had reportedly gone to her doctor for a routine check-up, and was overheard by neighbors playing the drums – so loudly, they eventually complained.
