Just a few years ago, this would have been a rare sight, but farmers and ranchers are seeing more bears roaming the prairie here in the Golden Triangle. Brad Birch spotted these two on April 17, just a couple of miles west of Conrad near the Ron Warwick place.

Bird watchers around the world have a rare opportunity to study the development of a new family of Long-Eared Owls, thanks to a new "owl cam" set up by the Owl Research Institute in Charlo. Choteau, Fairfield and other area schools are remembering the victims of the Holocaust by promoting tolerance throughout the schools with a "Hat Day" today to raise funds to help bring Holocaust survivor, author and inspirational speaker Inge Auerbacher to area schools in May. Students will pay a dollar to wear their hats during the school day.
Choteau students, Charley Yeager, Amanda Willekes and Tylee Patton have spent the last couple months raising funds to cover Inge’s expenses to Montana and provide several community events.
