In early September, Notre Dame linebacker and Heisman Trophy candidate Manti Te’o—just days after learning of the death of his girlfriend—led the Fighting Irish to an emotional upset of then-#10 Michigan State. However, in one of the most bizarre twists we’ve seen in college football, it now appears that the whole story about a dying girlfriend was a hoax.
Stanford rolls into the Granddaddy of Them All after winning four consecutive games over ranked opponents. Wisconsin is appearing in its third consecutive Rose Bowl, but is seeking its first win since back-to-back victories in 1999-2000.
The first week of the bowl season is a great time for strange-sounding games named after local companies you’ve probably never heard of. Terms of the deal were not announced, but the contract is reportedly a six-year deal worth $3.2 million per year.

Here are all the highlights from this week in the Top 25:

With Alabama and Georgia both recording big wins, it sets up a monster showdown in next week’s SEC title game, with the winner advancing to the BCS national championship.
With this being rivalry week and, for most teams, the end of the regular season, there were a lot of exciting games this week. Here are all the highlights:
