HELENA, Mont. (AP) — U.S. Sen. Jon Tester has won a second term, fending off a challenge from Republican U.S. Rep. Denny Rehberg.
Tester and Rehberg had been in a close contest for nearly two years as each struggled to break the race open despite a dizzying number of attack ads
Here we go again with another post-season weekend to follow our local teams around the state while they seek a title! We have the Fairfield Eagles and Choteau Bulldogs going to represent the Northern B Division in Bozeman at the All-Class State Volleyball Tournament at Brick Breeden Fieldhouse in Bozeman and we have the Valier Panthers travelling to Big Sandy to vie for the opportunity to play the State Championship
Valier took on Bridger on their home field on Saturday afternoon and came away a big winner (64/24). The next step for the Panthers (#3 North) is a visit to Big Sandy (#2 North) for the Semi-Final game of the Class C State Championship
Choteau and Fairfield both continued their winning ways into the evening and will meet Friday night at 6pm to determine the first team to advance to the Northern B Divisional Championship.
Fairfield made quick work of the M'Ettes of Malta. Winning in the straight 25/11; 25/17 and 25/10. The Eagles well meet Plentywood in the night cap.
Choteau, will take on Glasgow in the 6 pm game.
Friday will get underway with a 10 am March between Wolf Point and Cut Bank: followed by Conrad and Malta
The Plentywood WildCats were victorious over the Conrad Cowgirls this afternoon, forcing Conrad into the Loser-Out side of the Bracket. 25/23; 26/24; 25/17.

The 10 am game Friday will be a battle of the Wolves too start sliver in the Northern B volleyball tournament. The Wolf Point Wolves lost to a very good a Choteau team in the opener on Thursday 3/0. The Cut Bank Wolves fell to the Glasgow Scotties 3/0
Choteau had little trouble with the Wolves of Wolf Point, winning the match in three. 25/10;25/21;25/16. Choteau will go on to meet the winner of the next match this evening at 6 p.m.

Our local area will be represented by teams from Choteau, Fairfield, Cut Bank and Conrad (in that order), they will meet teams from the 2B tournament that was held in Malta over the weekend
We started the weekend with five of our local teams heading into the playoffs and ended it with one team left.
It started on Friday night with a very close 28/25 Choteau loss to Bigfork. Boyd Rieke had a trio of touchdown runs, including one late in the fourth quarter after Choteau failed a fourth down conversion,
