Axl Rose and Lana Del Rey Not Dating, Says DJ Ashba

Well, we knew it wouldn’t last. The news of the rumored romance between Axl Rose and Lana Del Rey had barely reached the entire Internet before it got quashed by Guns N’ Roses guitarist DJ Ashba. A reporter for TMZ spoke to Asbha while he was walking hand-in-hand with a young woman and a large man (presumably a bodyguard) down a Los Angeles street and asked him if he had any information to give.

“I don’t think they’re dating,” Ashba said. “Axl’s really a cool dude and he likes hanging out with cool people.” He later added, “I’m sure I’ll hear about it” with a sly laugh, possibly suggesting that Axl has a different definition of “dating” than the rest of the civilized world.

When told that Del Ray had once written a song called ‘Axl Rose’s Husband,’ Ashba, who appears to be wearing a top hat that Slash stomped on a dozen times, said that he’d like to hear it because it “sounds catchy.” Ashba’s lady friend then vouched for Del Ray’s talent.

Ashba told the reporter that he was unaware of the news, having just gotten into town. However, he didn’t seem to fazed by the notion that Axl was seen with a woman half his age at L.A.’s famed Chateau Marmont. Frankly, neither are we.
