Big Sky Resort Makes Me Dizzy

Big Sky Resort has been chosen as the Skyrunner World Series Ultra marathon final event for 2014 with the announcement of the 2nd annual The Rut 50 & kilometer races to be held September 13th, 2014 & The Lone Peak Vertical Kilometer race added for September 12th, 2014. Registration opens online this coming Sunday, January 5th. Debuting last summer, The Rut sold out in both the 50K & 12K races. The Rut 50K, a 10,000 foot gain in elevation, tests runners with off-trail exposed ridgelines, forested single-track trails, rugged jeep roads & the lofty summit of an iconic Lone Peak. The RutK will gain 2100 vertical feet & NEW this year, The Lone Peak Vertical Kilometer, a 2.4 mile race with a vertical gain of 3280 feet up Lone Peak.I'm getting dizzy just blogging about these high spirited high altitude events.
