Blackfeet Tribal Council elects new Chairman

Following a swearing-in ceremony at the dance arbor in Browning this morning, the full 9-member Blackfeet Tribal Business Council elected Harry Barnes as the new Tribal Chairman.

Barnes has a business background on the Blackfeet Reservation and he told KSEN/K96 News that operating the Tribal Council like a business was the "campaign cry," that he heard.

Barnes has operated two successful businesses on the reservation including Barnes Construction and Blackfeet Construction supplies.
