For those of you who didn’t get enough of a tease of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band during his two appearances last week on NBC’s ‘Late Night With Jimmy Fallon,’ SiriusXM Radio will broadcast a full Springsteen concert live from New York’s historic Apollo Theater on Friday, March 9 at 8PM. The concert, which will be broadcast on its Bruce-centric ‘E Street Radio’ channel, is part of SiriusXM’s 10th anniversary celebration.

The show, to be performed in front of 1,500 people, will serve as a warm-up for Springsteen’s upcoming tour, which will begin on March 18 in Atlanta. Springsteen will also deliver the keynote at the South by Southwest Music and Media Conference in Austin on March 15.

The tour will be the first E Street Band without saxophonist Clarence “Big Man” Clemons, who passed away in June 2011. Clemons’ nephew Jake Clemons will share sax duties with Eddie Manion, who regularly plays with Springsteen’s longtime friend Southside Johnny.

During the concert, SiriusXM will have a Twitter-based contest for those who are holding listening parties. The first 100 people to tweet a picture of their party using the hashtag “#SXMBruceApollo” will win a copy of Springsteen’s new album, ‘Wrecking Ball‘ (which you can purchase right here), and all photos will be entered in a contest to win four ticekts to Springsteen’s concert in Newark, N.J. on May 2. Further details can be found at SiriusXM’s website.

For those who want to listen but don’t subscribe to SiriusXM, the satellite radio service is offering a free, seven-day online trial.
