Bruce Springsteen, back in action this year with a new album and world tour, will help Sirius XM Satellite Radio celebrate their 10th anniversary. Bruce, along with The E Street Band, will perform a special show at the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York on Friday, March 9.

The concert will be broadcast live over SiriusXM’s ‘E Street Radio’ channel. In a new press release, SiriusXM President Scott Greenstein said “We are proud and excited to celebrate ten years of satellite radio with one of the most enduring superstars of popular music, and true friends of SiriusXM, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.”

If you happen to be  a subscriber to SiriusXM, you will have chances to win tickets for this rare small hall show. This concert will precede the official kick off of the ‘Wrecking Ball’ tour, which will take the band all across the globe. Bruce’s new album, also called ‘Wrecking Ball,’ is released on March 6.

This will be The E Street Band’s first tour without Clarence Clemons, who passed away last year. No official word yet on how the band plans to fill those big shoes, but they may end up with more than one person. Fellow Jersey rocker Southside Johnny recently told The Record, “He’s stealing my saxophone players to replace Clarence.”
