Bruce Springsteen Joins Bob Seger at Madison Square Garden Concert

Bruce Springsteen, Bob Seger

Bob Seger seemed like the happiest man on the planet while introducing Bruce Springsteen during his set at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Thursday night. The New Jersey native made the drive over to sing ‘Old Time Rock N’ Roll’ with his long time friend.

Rolling Stone reporter Andy Greene says the performance was their first together in over 30 years. Springsteen ripped off two lengthy guitar solos and added the second verse while joining Seger during the chorus. Kids on Christmas morning couldn’t match the ‘Night Moves’ singer’s excitement.

Looking something like Jerry Garcia, Seger showed the endearing everyman quality that fans have come to love, even if his dance moves were far more middle-aged dad than rock star.

The 66-year-old is barely taking a break from the road for the holidays. He’ll play in Philadelphia on Saturday, and has eight more shows before Christmas. Then he’s back on the road Dec. 28 in Los Angeles. This is the second Springsteen cameo in recent weeks. In November he appeared backstage at a Taylor Swift concert in Raleigh, N.C.
