The Montana Grain Growers Association has announced two upcoming panel discussions focused on marketing grain, pulse crops and seed in Canada.  The Canadian Food inspection agency has been in the process of implementing new requirements for import permits and phyosanitary certificates on shipments of foreign grains, oilseeds, pulses and seeds.

Howevr, C-F-I-A recently postponed the deadline for comments, thereby postponing the implementation date.  In the meantime, they have planned information sessions in several border states, including Montana.  A presentation and panel discussion in Great Falls will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn, starting at 8:30 March 21st, next Thursday.

Later that day the same presentation and panel discussion will start at 3 pm at the Marias River Electric hospitality room in Shelby.  The C-F-I-A is asking that participants pre-register for the event by logging into Anne.LaFleur@international.gc.ca by March 19th
