Chester Joplin Inverness Senior Quarterback, Leonard Puggsley had 21 carries for 163 yards, scored two touchdowns and ran for two 2 point conversions. Puggsley also helped rally the troops in the game with important leadership!

Senior Sunburst Quarterback Scotty Bye – whether running or throwing – Scotty is a big scorer for the Refiners. Scotty ended the game with 163 yards passing and four touchdowns. Bye is just five foot six and one hundred forty five pounds, but has a strong and accurate throwing arm with speed to run the ball and run the option for Sunburst

Deni Fitzpatrick has long been a fixture on KSEN and K96 Athlete of the Week, this week I see she is being honored in the Great Falls Tribune as well. Deni recently finished a stellar High School Track Career at Cut Bank High School with 14 state gold medals - 10 individual and 4 relay. According to the story in the Tribune:

Last night, at the Shelby Elks Club, KSEN/K96 in conjunction with Bozeman Trophy presented a Male and Female Athlete of the Year 2010/2011.
Dinner was catered by TLC Catering of Shelby and we had 33 of our 38 athletes in attendance. Athletes, parents, family and friends enjoyed a fantastic lasagna dinner and listened to Coach Mark Sampson, of the MSU Northern Lights Football team, talk about being proud to win, using your influence over other students to get more of their classmates involved in the winning tradition continued by the athletes in the room last night.
