It's Montana History reading tomorrow (Tuesday) evening up at our beautiful assisted living/retirement facility, the Marias Heritage Center. I'll be reporting to the Sun Room at the Heritage tomorrow night to continue with that book about the lady doctor in the mining camps of Montana back in the 1860's
That's the subject of a new novel I'm perusing by author Timothy J. Korzep. Korzep, in his working life, found himself surrounded by fund managers, market strategists, and analysts, spending time in Paris, Milan, London, and Hong Kong
No, I'm not blogging about what's going on back east in Washington. "Sad, funny, alarming" are some of the common themes that run through Craig Lancaster's new book, "Quantum Physics and The Art Of Departure" and Montana (Billings) author Craig Lancaster is going to be my special guest this Friday afternoon at 4:35 on the Puffman Show
No, no, I'm not moving in...yet! Today is Tuesday already this morning I'm looking forward to reading more Montana History this evening at 6 at the Marias Heritage Center here in Shelby. As I mentioned in a previous Puffman Blog, our Tuesday evening reading group is enjoying the true life sage of a pioneer lady doctor
My special guest on the Puffman Show this Tuesday afternoon at 4:35 has definitely been there, done that! He's Art Keller, former CIA operative in the agency, division responsible for tracking black market nuclear weapons
I think many of us still like to read the "old school" way...that's right, NOT off a danged computer screen, but a good old hardbound book with pages and chapters you can actually hold and feel in your hands
"Pioneer Doctor-The Story of a Woman's Work" is the book we are currently enjoying when I read Montana History Tuesday evenings at the Marias Heritage Center. I'm already looking forward to tomorrow night (Tuesday) to learn more about this fascinating pioneer doctor who practiced in Bannack, Montana back in the 1860's
You know the how the old saw goes...
While visiting the CM Russell Museum down in Great Falls several weeks back, I came across this most interesting and fascinating read by Joan Stauffer. The book is "Behind Every Man: The Story Of Nancy Cooper Russell" by Joan Stauffer
Montana author Jeff Noonan is joining me this afternoon (Wednesday) at 4:35 on the Puffman Show. This St. Regis native has penned quite a tome. "The Long Escape" is the name of Jeff's book and what a story it is
The saga of the lady doctor continues tonight (Tuesday) at the Marias Heritage Center here in Shelby. I'll be reading more Montana History this evening starting at 6 up at the Heritage Center. We're already into the 3rd chapter of the true story, "Pioneer Doctor-The Story of a Woman's Work" beautifully written and thoroughly researched by Mari Grana
It's Memorial Day weekend and, of course, Memorial Day, at least to me, signifies the "official start of summer". Summer around these parts wouldn't be complete without taking a spin over to Glacier National Park
One of the very best books I have read at the Marias Heritage Center is a saga set in the towns of Great Falls and Conrad. I've done several blogs on this beautiful presentation by Jayne Pearson Faulkner, a young girl growing up in the 1940's in Great Falls without a father and for awhile, "no place to belong"
