It's another fun afternoon of cards & conversation this Monday up at the Marias Heritage Center here in Shelby. The community card party kicks off at 1:30 Monday afternoon with a variety...and I mean "A VARIETY" of games to be played! It's always a lot of fun with some tasty treats & drinks provided by the Heritage Center
There is going to be a Santa's Workshop Craft Sale going on tomorrow (Tuesday) over in Chester. Not only is the workshop going on all day in the Medical Center billing office but there's a delicious bake sale happening in the waiting room at the Liberty Medical Center from 10 to 1, just the perfect time, right around lunchtime
We've all witnessed the devastation on TV that was caused by Hurricane Sandy. I think that often times many of us feel helpless & filled with pity for those who lost so much. What to do! Vitamin D...it's in the news more & more these days & I came across some research published earlier this month in the "Journal of the National Cancer Institute". Researchers have found that people who are Vitamin D deficient had a significantly increased risk of developing bladder cancer

Our Center for Mental Health Advisory Board is scheduled to conduct our monthly meeting tomorrow (Thursday) at 12 noon at the Griddle here in Shelby. We meet the 3rd Thursday of every month from September through May & are always seeking new members from the community
