Cut Bank Girls 2nd at Divisional Track Meet

Deni Fitzpatrick once again led the Wolves' effort at the Divisional Track Meet.  Conditions were less than ideal Saturday in Glasgow.  The temperatures were warm, but the rain and wind made the job more difficult.  The Cut Bank girls came up a little short of the Divisional Title, with the Scotties of Glasgow outscoring the Lady Wolves 156 to 124.

Fitzpatrick came away with first in the 100 Meter Dash, the 100 Meter Hurdles, the 200 Meter dash and the 300M Hurdles.  Teammate, Erica Karcher also took first in the Long Jump, Jordyn Vaile had a first place in the Shot Put with a throw of 36' 5" the 4X100 Meter team also finished first.

Other local winners include: Alisha Breen in the Javelin with a throw of 108'0" and Sydne Steinbach of Fairfield in the triple jump with a jump of 34' 10 1/5".

Cut Bank Girls Track Team Looking for Gold

Class B Boys State Golf Results

The Boys Class B State Golf finished up yesterday at Eaglerock Golf Course in Billings (Par 72) with the Loyola Sacred Heart team as State Champions with a total combined team score of 619, followed by Columbus 638; Red Lodge 655; Colstrip 657; Manhattan Christian 661; Deer Lodge 661; Three Forks 673; Malta 679 Conrad 681; Huntley Project 704; Plentywood 719 and Fairfield at 733. Fairfield Boys Win District 1B Track Meet at Memorial Stadium

The Fairfield boys had a big day in the field events. Bo Harris, a junior, won both the shot put and discus; junior Trace Brady had the top javelin throw; and senior Slade Allen and junior Collin Allen finished second in the triple jump and long jump, respectively.

Slade Allen also won both the 110 and 300 hurdles. Sophomore teammate Tucker Meyer was second in both of those races.  Check out all the boys results after the jump...

Deni Fitzpatrick leads Cut Bank Girls to Second Consecutive District 1B Championship

Lead on the track by Senior Deni Fitzpatrick, and in the field by junior Jordyn Vaile, the Cut Bank girls walked away with their second consecutive win in the  District 1B Meet with a lead of 55 points over their nearest competition, the Cascade Badgers.  Fitzpatrick won the 100 meters in 13.1 seconds, the 200 in 27.5, the 100 hurdles in 16.0 and the 300 hurdles in 47.4.  Vaile placed first in the shot put and the discus and fifth in the javelin.
