It's Tuesday & as usual, I'll be going up to the Marias Heritage Center here in Shelby tonight to read Montana History to some of the Heritage Center residents. We'll be finishing up the Nancy & Charlie Russell book this evening & my friend, Marie Ostrem, is bringing along a new book to read that deals with a Fort Benton area woman who was one of our pioneer agriculture people here in rural Montana
This book should be if it's not already. I'm blogging this afternoon about the NEXT book I'll be reading at Montana History up at the Marias Heritage Center here in Shelby. This tome (or should I say "tomb") is titled "Dark Spaces-Montana's Historic Penitentiary At Deer Lodge"

We are finishing up "Behind Every Man-The Story of Nancy Cooper Russell" by Joan Stauffer & I've come to the conclusion that if "this woman" (Nancy Russell) was behind her man (Charlie Russell), I would only pray that she was MILES behind the kindly old western artist

I thoroughly enjoy living here in our Golden Triangle. Life here on the Hi-Line seems "just right". I do think that when asked to name Montana's most colorful city, I'd have to say that the old mining city, Butte, takes that honor

Great Falls author and traditional fiddle player Richard Baker will present a visit with Pierre Cruzatte’s ghost at 3 p.m. on Sept. 30 at the Stage Stop Inn in Choteau.
