CONFESSIONS OF A MILITARY WIFE

This afternoon on the Puffman Show, we'll take a laugh-filled journey inside the lives of military wives. When stand-up comedienne and public speaker Mollie Gross married a Marine, she didn't know how much her life would change. She soon found out(!) and has written a book about it. Mollie will be joining me this afternoon at 4:35 to discuss her new book, "Confessions of a Military Wife and I'll give away a hard cover book this afternoon. Mollie told me that she will reveal everything you thought you knew about military wives...but didn't! Mollie says she remembers when she hit rock bottom. "There I was with no make-up on, hadn't showered, eating raw cookie dough out of the tube and ordering jewelry off the TV." And that was just her first day! Mollie uses laughter to support and inspire other wives facing challenges associated with the military lifestyle. The book likes like a winner and I look forward to talking with Mollie this afternoon. Be the first caller after my interview to win Mollie's book.  There's a great video featuring Mollie after the jump:

I’M FEELING CRAFTY TODAY

I found a brand new craft store in Conrad and it's right on the main drag at 412 South Main. The name of this unique store is "Creative Additions"  and they are fast becoming your crafting center for classes, ideas, and supplies. Creative Additions is open daily from 10 until 5 including Saturdays! Creative Additions is proud of Conrad and is saluting the Conrad graduating class of 2011 this month on KSEN and K96 Radio. And they're not only proud of all the graduating seniors this year, but they're offering after school crafting for kids  every day after school from 3:30 to 4:30 and it's only $5 per class and this includes supplies. Creative Additions certainly adds a real sparkle to downtown Conrad and I wish them the best in this new endeavor for north central Montana.

Energy Drinks and Teens, Dangerous?

When I go  out to pick up lunch, I usually run into a least a couple of local teens at the grocery store, and usually at least one of them is buying a candy bar and an energy drink.  I worry about energy drinks and make it a practice not to buy them for my teen, or let her drink them when I am around

Positive Parenting Tips – Do You Have Some to Add?

I stumbled upon this article today about positive parenting.  I'm not sure I agree with ALL of them, but overall it's some good advise on a tough subject.

Parenting – What Matters?

I read a lot of articles on the internet and have found some really interesting blogs.  I'm the parent of two teenage girls, well one of them will be 20 soon, but you get the idea.  Today, in my reading I found an article about what really matters (by Lauren Rosenfeld, M.A., M.Ed., Author of Your To Be List) as a parent and wanted to share that with you:
