Angry Mom Hires Plane to Fly Nasty Message Over Wall Street

At lunchtime on Tuesday, New Yorkers in Lower Manhattan were treated to an unusual sight — a small plane buzzing by the Standard and Poor’s building, towing a banner that read, “Thanks For The Downgrade: You Should All Be Fired.”

Commissioned by St. Louis banker and single mother Lucy Nobbe, who paid $895 to hire the pilot, the fly-by was a reaction to the US losing its longtime AAA credit rating last Friday.

Artist’s Amazing Landscape Painting Spills Out of Its Frame [PHOTO]

Installation artist Gregory Euclide took an ordinary landscape and added a 3D element so that a painted river and forest appear to spill out of the frame and into the museum in which it hangs. The painting/diorama hybrid is currently on display at New York City’s Museum of Arts and Design as part of an exhibition called “Otherworldly: Optical Delusions and Small Realities.”

There's a new store in uptown Shelby and I stopped by for a visit this week. It's called The Smile Shop and it's run by Don and Lena Tronson. We all know the Tronsons in Shelby...Don's retired from the Army and along with his wife, Lena, he's put together a hobby and craft store. They have items for scrap booking, beads, yarn, embroidery floss, buttons, models, paint, glitter, military coins, hats, & patches.

Happy Birthday Grandma!

My blog today takes on bit of a personal note.  Today is my Grandmothers 96th Birthday.  She's a really great lady and lives at the nursing home at Choteau.

We're gearing up for our big Agriculture Appreciation features on ksenam.com, so I thought it would be fitting to tell a bit of the story about my own grandmother who is part of an agriculture family that has been in Toole County for a good, long time.
