Phoenix, Arizona looked like a scene from an apocalyptic summer blockbuster Tuesday night after a massive dust storm engulfed the city and its surrounding areas.
The dust cloud appeared to be 100 miles wide and was moving between 50 and 60 miles an hour.
A wildfire that burned more than 10,000 acres during the overnight hours Monday was moving dangerously close to the Los Alamos National Laboratory nuclear weapons complex in New Mexico.

Nearly two months after an outbreak of tornadoes swept through Alabama and other states, a Casper, Wyoming radio crew went to check out the damage.

Yesterday, June 9th, we received a call here at KSEN regarding the possibility of a funnel cloud touching down near Valier and another near Conrad. Unable to confirm that with the weather service, we ran with it as an "unconfirmed" report. As always, we get a ton of calls from residents of the area with their own input on the story. One Conrad resident called and informed me that there "aren't even any dark clouds here". At any rate - I checked out facebook and saw some photos submitted to our friends at KRTV in Great Falls. This morning - I received photos from the person who took the photos and share them with you here...

Since Governor Schweitzer declared a statewide emergency due to flooding, 73% of counties and all 7 Tribal communities have made flood declarations. The Montana Food Bank Network (MFBN) responded immediately to requests for emergency food and has already distributed over 18,000 lbs of food and water assistance.

The flood warning continues for the Marias River near Shelby until late Sunday night. At 7:30 am Wednesday, the stage was 11.4 feet - flood stage is 9.0 feet. Minor flooding is occurring. Forecast...the river will continue to remain above flood stage until Thursday.
