CROSS OVER THE BRIDGE..UH, THE TRACKS

Our Shelby viaduct remains half open and half closed thanks to a semi-truck snafu earlier in the week. The department of transportation says repair work will begin next month weather permitting. Once the repairs start, the bridge and roadway under the viaduct will be closed for about two weeks.

THE FORGOTTEN LUNCH BUCKET

I realized early this morning that I had left my Dwight Weiss School of Broadcasting lunch bucket at the radio station the day before. I had no choice but to brave 30 degree temperatures at 7 in the morning, drive in to the station to retrieve my lunch pail, and drive back home in order that another delicious lunch could be inserted into the bucket.

Punxsutawney Phil Doesn’t See His Shadow, Predicts Early Spring [VIDEO]

Snow and ice may be blanketing a good part of the country, but the nation’s foremost groundhog says better weather is coming soon.

Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow this February 2nd, as he emerged from Gobbler's Knob, which suggests we will have an early spring.

Since 1887, Phil has only predicted 15 early springs. The StormFax Weather Almanac pegs Phil’s accuracy as a prognosticator at 39 percent. See video of the little critter after the jump.
