Citizens on patrol may have been the subtitle of one of the 'Police Academy' sequels, but it's also an accurate way to describe this guy.

Gavin Seim had no qualms stopping the officer in this video to tell him he's breaking state law by driving an unmarked car. He then completely turns the tables on the officer by asking to see his ID.

Seim goes on to express his concerns with an officer in an unmarked vehicle. The officer seems to tolerate Seim's lecture. And to his credit, he doesn't go loco, like this cop did, although you get the feeling he's annoyed.

While the citizen may come off as know-it-all, it's nice to know that sometimes regular folks can show the police we know a thing or two, as well.
