The Toole County Extension office will be hosting a field scouting exercise on Friday, June 14th on Holtz Rd, north of Sunburst beginning at 10am and ending around noon.  Participants will be scouting various wheat, barley and pulse crop fields to identify weeds and diseases.  Prevention and control of weeds and diseases will also be discussed.

Dr. Mary Burrows, MSU Extension Plant Pathology Specialist will also be present to help facilitate the program.

If attending, be sure to bring plenty of questions for Dr. Burrows and also dress for the weather. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about the specific weeds and diseases affecting crops in the Golden Triangle and the state of Montana as well.

For directions, take I-15 to the Sunburst exit and follow signs posted to the site location on Holtz Rd.
