According to the Independent Record of Helena:

It may just be Carroll College’s first season with a track and field program, but already the school is making big waves in the recruiting waters.

The Saints announced Thursday the signing of Deni Fitzpatrick, arguably the most sought after track athlete in the Treasure State this year. Fitzpatrick, a senior sprinter at Cut Bank, was being recruited heavily by the University of Montana, Montana State and Washington State.

“She’s a very prominent, accomplished athlete,” Saints track and field coach Matt Morris said. “We’re happy to have her choose Carroll.”

Deni is also a former KSEN/Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the Week and I expect she will be again when Track gets going!  We're looking forward to following her to a fourth straight title.

Congratulations to Deni and the Saints - they're getting a great sprinter and a great kid!
