Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth recommends the new album of lullaby versions of the band’s songs to sooth your kid. It probably didn’t hurt that his sister Lisa is responsible for the ‘Rockabye Baby’ series, including the new ‘Renditions of Van Halen’ album.

In the video below, Roth stands next to his sibling and explains why one should buy the just-released album. “I recommend the ‘Rockabye Baby! Lullaby Renditions of Van Halen’ because a number of summers ago I lived a very crazy and colorful life and a lot of you may well be my children.” His responsible message is further denigrated by the Jack Daniels banners behind him.

“Let’s make up for lost time, here’s your first lullaby” he says before delivering a few soothing lines of a song that seems destined to get real dirty real fast. As previously reported, the newest ‘Rockabye Baby’ album includes VH hits like ‘Runnin’ With the Devil,’ ‘Jump’ and ‘Panama.’ All 13 cuts are instrumentals, so parents don’t have to worry about their precious jewel hearing inappropriate lyrics.

“It’s more for the parent than the child but it calms the child at the same time,” the female Roth told Forbes Magazine about her concept. Previous artists to get the sleepy treatment include Pearl Jam, Metallica and Journey.
