The fire is at 21,500 acres at this time. An incident command post is set up at Beaver Creek Park.

The East Fork Fire is burning on the Rocky Boy Reservation, and in Blaine County and Hill County in north central Montana, south of Havre. At this time, the majority of the fire is in check, and not expected to spread. Other parts of the fire still have intense heat and work is underway to secure these areas of the fire. Currently, there are no operational needs for conducting additional burn outs on the perimeter, nor the interior of the fire.

The Red Flag Warning is still in effect, however; the core of the strong winds ended up hitting much further east than what was forecasted. This proved to be beneficial to fire fighting efforts as the fire has not spread outside the fire printer. The fire is 40% contained at this time, and good progress towards full containment is being made.

A Type 1 Interagency Incident Management team made up of county, state and federal firefighters are on scene to help support the local organizations and bring much needed resources to the firefighting efforts.

Beaver Creek Road is open from 5th Avenue through to Taylor Road, and to Rocky Boys Agency.

Beaver Creek Park is closed to recreation, and Hill County Sheriff's Department is asking the public to stay out of the area for firefighter safety - the side roads within the park are still closed to the public.

Sucker Creek Road is closed between Beaver Creek and Clear Creek.
