18 year old Justine Winter of Evergreen is appealing her sentence with the Supreme Court. Back in February, Winter was found guilty of two counts of deliberate homicide after intentionally crashing her vehicle head-on into another vehicle in 2009. Winter had had a fight with her boyfriend and is accused of intentionally crossing the center of U.S 93 in a construction zone on March 19, 2009, and crashing into a vehicle driven by a 35 year old Columbia Falls woman. Erin Thompson, who was pregnant at the time, died along with her 13 year old son. Text messages extracted from Winter's cellphone included a conversation with her former boyfriend during which she threatened to intentionally crash her car. Winter was 16 at the time and now's she 18 and serving her sentence of 15 years at the Montana Women's Prison in Billings. Tomorrow's night Dateline NBC with Keith Morrison was produced and written by a former Conrad man. He's Shane Bishop and Shane is the National Producer for Dateline NBC.
