It's Valier Homesteader Days this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in Valier and the excitement and fun kicks off tonight (Friday) at 6 with the WHOA Arena annual poker walk or trot. It's $10 a hand with a free will dinner, music, and prize money. The Co-Ed Softball Tourney gets underway an hour before at five this evening.  Tomorrow (Saturday) is a full day with an all day softball tourney beginning at 8:30. Miller Park Activities run from 10AM to 3PM and include vendors, music (fiddlers), games for all ages, pony rides, pie sales, volunteer fireman's signature roast beef sandwiches, woman's club taco in a bag, 50/50, and a treasure hunt. The "Big Parade's" at 11 Saturday morning and be sure and look for KSEN/K 96 in the parade throwing candy to and fro. Probably more fro than to!  Our own "Atom Bomb" will be in the parade. There's mud bog races and a stick horse rodeo in the afternoon.  One of north central Montana's best bands, Up North, will be playing Saturday night at the Lake Frances Pavilion. It doesn't get any better than homesteader...Homesteader Days this weekend in Valier.
