Golf leagues forming but questions remain

Golf leagues are forming all over the area this week.   Cut Bank scheduled their mens league meeting Tues. night (tonight) April 17th, at 7 pm at the Cut Bank Golf course.    Pondera Golf and Country Club men's meeting is Wednesday night April 18th at 7:30 at the clubhouse.

Meanwhile, Marias Valley is now in the process of surveying players so they can determine if they should combine the two league nights into one.  There were 9 teams that signed up for the Monday night league and I believe, between 10 and 12 teams for Thursday night.    If they combine the league's the course managers estimate they'll lose four total teams because so many of the players, play league on both nights.   And of course they're trying to get a feel for which night would be the best to hold the combined league if that's what they decide to do.

We should know soon since Marias Valley League's are scheduled to start next week.     The best news might be that the course is finally starting to green-up with all of the recent moisture that we've had.     Whatever the decisison is on the League's I'm looking forward to teeing it up and playing some competitive golf.          Fore...............................
