Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose has been serving jury duty on a civil trial in Santa Monica, Calif., since shortly after completing the US tour with his band last month.

Imagine Rose’s surprise, receiving a letter addressed from the bailiff! He must of been somewhat relieved to see that it was just a summons to serve jury duty. Still, it probably paled in comparison to the surprise from the other folks in the courtroom at seeing Rose on the jury.

People reported that he completed the jury duty service on Tuesday “after serving four days of the trial process.” Rose commented, “It was relatively painless and I was fortunate that everyone in the courthouse and jurors were all really great, plus I got to see daylight from a different prospect.”

Still up for deliberation is whether or not Rose will join his former bandmate Slash and the other original Guns N’ Roses members on stage when the group is inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this spring. We’re also surprised Rose didn’t try to get out of jury duty by using his recently documented time-traveling skills.
