Born 63 years ago today, how could father Jack and mother Lilian have ever guessed the icon that their fourth child, John Michael Osbourne, was to become. As the saying goes, there’s no rest for the wicked — and the one we all know and love as Ozzy Osbourne certainly is not doing any resting. In fact, his 64th year on the planet might turn out to be his busiest yet. In other words, he’s not quite ready for the AARP circuit just yet.

Ozzy’s plans for world domination are in full swing. First off, there’s Black Sabbath‘s much-anticipated reunion set for next year, which will find the originators of heavy metal launching a full-scale world tour and recording their first new album since 1978′s ‘Never Say Die.’ There is also the new highly-acclaimed documentary, ‘God Bless Ozzy Osbourne‘ which was just released on DVD and BluRay, and also his wonderfully-titled book, ‘Trust Me, I’m Dr. Ozzy.’ Plus, we can’t forget about the recent deluxe reissues of Ozzy’s seminal debut one-two punch of solo recordings: ‘Blizzard Of Ozz’ and ‘Diary Of A Madman’.

And, if that ain’t enough, the self-proclaimed Prince Of Darkness will now have his own channel on Sirius/XM satellite radio. The show, ‘Ozzy’s Boneyard’, which will feautre classic hard rock and metal, will be set loose over the airwaves before year’s end. “After everything I’ve been through in my career I never imagined I’d end up with my own radio channel,” said Ozzy.

Whew! All this from a still-raving and drooling sexagenarian lunatic. He’s got more on his plate than most half his age. God bless Ozzy Osbourne indeed!
