(SHELBY, MT) – KSEN/K96—BOZEMAN TROPHY ATHLETES OF THE WEEK ARE PLAYERS THAT CAN BE COUNTED ON TO PERFORM FOR THEIR TEAMS IN CHOTEAU AND VALIER.

CHOTEAU HEAD FOOTBALL COACH LUCAS GUNDERSON DESCRIBED THE PERFORMANCE OF OUR MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK AS “STELLAR.”    SR. PETE HENDERSON LED THE OFFENSIVE CHARGE IN CHOTEAU’S WIN OVER BELT 30-8.    HENDERSON CARRIED THE BALL 24 TIMES FOR 241 YARDS AND 4 TOUCHDOWNS.

COACH GUNDERSON SAYS HE ALSO HAD A BIG NIGHT FROM HIS MIDDLE LINEBACKER SPOT WITH 12 TACKLES INCLUDING ONE FOR A LOSS.  HENDERSON IS NOT A LARGE PLAYER BY ANY MEANS AT JUST 5-8 AND 150-LBS, BUT HIS INTENSITY AND TOUGHNESS BECOME NOTICEABLE FROM THE VERY START AND IT JUST KEEPS ON COMING UNTIL THE LAST WHISTLE.    CHOTEAU IS NOW 5-2 IN THE NORTHERN C FOOTBALL DIVISION AND VYING FOR A #3 OR #4 SEED IN THE UPCOMING PLAYOFFS.

OUR FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK HAS BEEN HIGHLY RELIABLE FOR THE VALIER PANTHERS THIS SEASON.  JR. ABBY BOCK CONSISTENTLY LEADS THE TEAM IN KILLS AND BLOCKS AND ALSO THIS PAST WEEK CAME UP WITH A LOT OF HELP WITH 7 DIGS IN A LOSS AT NORTH STAR.

ABBY IS TYPICALLY IN DOUBLE FIGURES ON KILLS.   SHE HAD 12 IN THE NORTH STAR MATCH AND 12 AGAINST DUTTON/BRADY WITH 4 BLOCKS IN EACH MATCH.   SHE IS ALSO THE TEAM’S LEADING SERVE-RECEIVER A REAL KEY TO THE OFFENSIVE SET.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR KSEN/K96—BOZEMAN TROPHY ATHLETE’S OF THE WEEK, JR. ABBY BOCK OF THE VALIER PANTHERS AND SR. PETE HENDERSON OF THE CHOTEAU BULLDOGS.   THE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK IS SPONSORED LOCALLY BY McDONALD’S IN CUT BANK.   McDONALD’S HONORS OUR ATHLETE’S WITH TWO FREE VALUE MEALS EACH.
