In Case You Missed It…

In case you missed that PBS program that I blogged about last week on the Bakken, "Boom! Behind The Bakken", they're repeating it this evening (Monday) at 9 on PBS. I thoroughly enjoyed it last week and will no doubt watch it again tonight. I found it to be a very well balanced thought provoking presentation on a subject that is discussed daily here in the Golden Triangle. If you DO watch it this evening, keep an eye out for the "nodding donkeys"! Speaking of watching PBS this evening...it looks like another good documentary to check out will be one on the building of the Fort Peck Dam. "Fort Peck Dam-Taming The Mighty Missouri" will be shown one hour prior to the Bakken program at 8 o'clock tonight. The Fort Peck Dam was built some 3/4 of a century ago and still stands today as one of the greatest achievements in the history of the American West. The idea for this project was born in the midst of the Great Depression, when our greatest president ever (my opinion), Franklin Delano Roosevelt, set out to tame the "mighty Mo" by building what was, at the time, the world's largest dam. "Fort Peck Dam" will air in high definition and surround sound. Sounds to me like some great viewing this evening on PBS for all of us here in the Golden Triangle.
