Independence Bank’s focus will be to benefit its customers, its employees, its communities, and its shareholders.  Our History: Independence Bank is headquartered in Havre, Montana.  Independence Bank, formerly known as First Security Bank, was founded in 1972 by a group of Havre business owners who saw a need for a community bank.  The headquarters was opened at its present Fifth Avenue Havre location in March 1973.  Since that time we have acquired branches in Poplar, Scobey, Malta & Glasgow.   Building on our success, in 2014 we opened a new branch in Conrad.  Independence Bank, our Board of Directors and our staff are committed to serving communities in North Central & North Eastern Montana.
