What a week at our Marias Heritage Center here in Shelby. I'll be dropping by this evening at six to read Montana History and I gotta' tell you, this W.J. Yenne (his last name rhymes with penny) "Switchback" book that I'm currently reading is a great read. I never thought there was so involved in "packing horses". My only experience with "packing" has been running our action PACKED 5 o'clock news hour on my Puffman Radio program. And this evening looks like a perfect summer evening to read and enjoy some Montana History. See you at the Marias Heritage Center at six this evening. The fun doesn't stop here however. Tomorrow (Wednesday), you're all invited for the Family & Friends Barbecue. This is a blast every year and the steaks are GREAT. What do you like on your steak? I like ketchup on mine and I like it cooked medium rare because I'm that kind of guy. The gathering begins at 5 with dinner served at 5:30. Meat, buns, condiments, drinks, & table service are all provided but you're encouraged to bring a salad or dessert. Last year, I stopped down at Main Street Convenience Store on my way, grabbed numerous packs of gum, and brought them along as a "dessert" to share. The neat thing? I got invited back this year! I'm not sure if it's too late to R.S.V.P. but you might give the Heritage a call at 434 3290. Don't worry about bringing a salad. I cut my grass the other night and I'm bringing some dandelions for the salads!
