KALISPELL, Mont. (AP) — A 46-year-old Kalispell man has been arrested on suspicion of two counts of negligent homicide for a head-on crash south of Kalispell.

Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Ed Sievers tells the Daily Inter Lake that Joseph Powell was driving a Jeep Cherokee northbound on U.S. 93 Thursday night when he crossed into the southbound lane, colliding head-on with the pickup truck.

The driver of the pickup, 43-year-old Brian Delaney of Kalispell, died on impact.

Powell's 43-year-old passenger, Patrick Moulton, died at the hospital in Kalispell.

Powell suffered a broken arm and dislocated hip. He was arrested Friday afternoon when he was released from the hospital.
