I received a report over the weekend from one of the custom cutter guys who lives up north in Alberta, "Talkative Todd, who comes here to the Golden Triangle for harvest every year. "Tall" Todd reports that he had touched base with Ken Adderholt down south last Friday & that Ken reported that a 2 day rain had dumped from 3/4 of an inch to 1.20 inches of rain & that another storm is in the offing. Ken says the wheat already looked better. Kansas, unfortunately, was not so fortunate, according to Jim Routen who runs a fuel delivery service. The "Fuel Man" says that they had 60 to 70 mph winds, strong enough that they had to close the schools! Todd had no reports from either Colorado or Oklahoma but I will keep checking with the boys & keep you posted. Hopefully, last week's snowfall will contribute to an bountiful harvest this year in North Central Montana.
