KSEN and K96 Bozeman trophy athletes of the week are players that can be counted on to Perform for their teams in Choteau and Valier. Choteau head football coach, Lucas Gunderson described the performance as stellar. Senior Pete Henderson led an offensive charge in Choteau’s win over Belt, 30 to 8. Henderson carried the ball twenty-four times for 241 yards and four touchdowns. He was also a leader on defense, Coach Gunderson said he had a big night from his middle linebacker spot as well. He’s not a large player by any means at just 5’8” and 150 but his intensity and toughness become noticeable from the very start and it just keeps on coming until the last whistle. Choteau is now five and two in the Northern C Football division and vying for a number three or number four seed in the upcoming playoffs and Pete Henderson is a big part of that.

Our female athlete of the week has been highly reliable for the Valier lady Panthers this season, Junior Abby Bock it consistently leads the team in kills and blocks and also this past week came up with a lot of help with seven digs in a loss at Northstar. Abby is typically in double figures on the kill side, she had twelve in the North Star match and twelve against Dutton/Brady with Four blocks in each match. She is also the team’s leading serve receiver, a real key to that offensive set.

Congratulations to our KSEN and K96 Bozeman trophy athletes of the week Junior Abby Bock of the Valier Panthers and Senior Pete Henderson of the Choteau Bulldogs. Athlete of the week is sponsored locally by McDonald's in Cut Bank. McDonald's honors our athletes with two free value meals each.
