Our KSEN/K96 - Bozeman Trophy Athlete's of the Week from the weekend of Nov. 3rd-5th, have played big roles for their very successful teams that have moved well into the playoff rounds.

Jessica Davis, a big middle hitter for the Choteau Lady Bulldogs had a very strong Divisional Tournament in which Choteau won the Championship.  It came on the heels of  a very strong District Tournament in which Coach Ann Funk said her smart play at the net and kills with authority just seemed to ignite us."   The solid play continued in the Divisionals where Davis led the team in kills with 13 in an early round match with Wolf Point.  She also led the team with 13 kills and 5 blocks in the final match win over Cut Bank.

Also nominated this week was Jillian Altenburg and Jordy Vaile of Cut Bank who led Cut Bank to the Championship match with Choteau and an earlier upset of Choteau.

Male Athlete of the Week honors went to Sr. running back and defensive standout Chad Barrett of Fairfield.   Barrett is the third of the Eagles to win the award this season as they march to their 5th Championship game appearance in a row.

Barrett scored both of Fairfield's Touchdowns against the Manhattan Tigers who gave the Eagles another battle.   Fairfield ended up beating them for the second time this season.   The final in the playoff game was 12-7 while Fairfield had beaten them earlier in the season 21-15.   The two Touchdowns for Barrett were his 11th & 12th of the season.

Barrett also  had a QB sack and a number of  tackles on defense.

Also nominated last week was Fairfield's Tyler Cahoon who Coach Les Myer said had a great day on defense...........3 sacks, 2 fumbles caused and "was in on a ton of tackles."
