KSEN/K96 Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the Week

KSEN/K96 – Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the Week honors go to Senior Jordyn Vaile of Cut Bank. Vaile is almost certain to get out Cut Bank big points in the throwing events at every meet and she didn’t disappoint at the first meet of the season in Columbia Falls Saturday where the Cut Bank girls’ team finished second among 17 teams.

She won the discus with a toss of 118’ 4”, a personal best and over 3’ better than in last years’ state meet where she finished third.

The strong senior also won the shot put with a throw of 34’5”, only an inch less than in the state meet last year where she finished 4th.

Jordyn was also an outstanding Volleyball player who garnered 1st team all-conference and all-state honors last fall.

The Athlete of the Week is sponsored locally by McDonalds of Cut Bank. McDonalds provides our athletes with two free value meals each.

Our Athlete of the Year banquet has been scheduled for May 9th at the Shelby Elks’ lodge. We’ll honor our Athletes of the Week and name a male and female Athlete of the Year and hear from former Cut Bank football Coach Ron Kowalski. If you have any thoughts on the Athlete of the Year – I’d love to hear them!
