LeBron James Congratulates the Mavericks on Winning NBA Championship
There’s no off-season from being under the microscope.
That’s what LeBron James is finding out in the wake of his Miami Heat losing to the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Finals.
James, who many feel choked in crunch time of each game of the six-game series, has now found himself choking on words he uttered after the Mavericks won the championship. James had said, “They have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life that they had before they woke up today. They have the same personal problems.”
James switched tracks to clarify his statement on Tuesday. He said, “Basically, I was saying, at the end of the day, this season is over and with all the hatred not only myself, everyone else has to move on with their lives as well.
James went on to add, “They have to move on with their lives and their day-to-day, good or bad, and I do, too. At the end of the day, I’ve got to move on with my life. So it wasn’t saying that I’m superior or better than anyone else, any man or woman on this planet. I’m not.”
To further illustrate he harbors no ill will and he can indeed play the role of gracious loser, James took to his own website to congratulate the Mavericks.
Even though James and the Heat fell short of winning a title, the King still called this season a success, noting, “I had fun with this season. That’s what it’s about.”
Funny – we though fun was for little kids and this season was about James backing up all the hype by bringin a title to South Beach.
