Their team effectively trains veterans in the skills of self-marketing, then supports their career search until they find good jobs with great companies. Speaking of "Thanking" our veterans...ThanksUSA, started back in 2006 by sisters Kelsi & Rachel Okun when there were mere children, distributes need-based college, technical, & vocational school scholarships to the children & spouses of active duty U.S. military members. Since it was founded, this organization has awarded 3500 scholarships totaling almost $10 MILLION! Helping severely injured veterans returning home is the mission of Homes for our Troops. Started in 2004, this organization builds mortgage-free & specially adapted houses for multiple amputees & veterans with traumatic brain injuries. It also adapts existing homes for handicap accessibility. They've build nearly 170 homes since their founding, with another 50 currently on the way! And it goes without saying, thanks to the USO (United Service Organizations)) for providing care packages, entertainment, & recreation-type services to military members & their families.
