Motorhead Added To Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival Tour

Festival schmestival! As long as you’ve got Motorhead on the bill, you’ve got Rock-N-Roll! The Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival announced the addition of Motorhead to an already impressive lineup of hard rockers and “‘eavy met’ler”s bashing it out on the main stage.

The line up includes such veterans as Slayer and Anthrax as well as riff heavy grunters High On Fire and cartoon thrashers Slipknot, who will headline the event. The festival will also feature the “Sumerian Records Stage,” which will play host to up and coming metal bands.

The 27 date tour kicks off June 30 in California and takes the hard and heavy stuff all across the USA before wrapping up in Connecticut on Aug. 5. This is the first tour of its kind that Motorhead have signed up for in several years.

Of their inclusion in the festival line-up, Lemmy declared, “Well, we’re used to mayhem in this band, so it’s kind of a family tradition! Bring it!”
