On Jan. 26, the Beatles will be honored at the Grammy Awards with a Lifetime Achievement Award. And now it looks like the band’s two surviving members, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, will perform on the show.

However, the press release accompanying the news says only that “each will perform,” suggesting that they will play separately. Still, it doesn’t say they won’t play together. In other words, anything can happen.

With the music world celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ arrival in America next month, rumors have been circulating that McCartney and Starr will have a high-profile reunion. ‘Late Show With David Letterman’ is holding a “Beatles Week” beginning Feb. 3, and they’re hoping to have the pair on the show on Feb. 7. Letterman’s program tapes in the Ed Sullivan Theater, the same studio where the Beatles made their legendary first appearance on Feb. 9, 1964.

The new list of Grammy performers also includes Carole King, the winner of the 2014 MusiCares Person of the Year award, who’ll perform a song with pop singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles. They’ll join Metallica, Stevie Wonder, Chicago and Willie Nelson among the many musicians who’ll take the stage during CBS’ telecast.
