Tomorrow, Thursday, is Flag Day and the Cut Bank Elks Lodge will be putting on their Flag Day service at Cut Bank City Park at high noon tomorrow. This presentation commemorates the birth of the American flag with examples of the evolution of the flag beginning with the Pine Tree flag adapted by the colonies back in 1775. Refreshments are on tap following tomorrow's service in City Park in Cut Bank. Here in Shelby, our Shelby Boy Scouts will be conducting a flag retirement ceremony tomorrow evening at 8 at Lake Sheloole north of Shelby. I would also like to mention in this blog that so many veterans feel confused about benefits and services they have earned. The nonprofit Disabled American Veterans (D-A-V) mobile service office will be going on in Cut Bank tomorrow (Thursday) from 10AM to 5PM at the Cut Bank Clinic to personally provide the best counseling and claim filing assistance available. This is FREE to all veterans and members of their families. Let's take time out tomorrow to remember not only our flag, but of course OUR veterans!
