I should know, I'm "semi-old", I'm the Puffman. The Experience Works Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) is currently accepting applications. According to Mardi Milligan, the local Employment & Training Coordinator for Experience Works, "In this difficult economy, many older Montanans are finding it necessary to find work.". Unfortunately, according to Milligan, "Finding a job can be especially difficult for older workers who have not looked for employment for some time or for those who have been unsuccessful in their job hunt". SCSEP is a stepping stone for people DESPERATE for work & immediate assistance & wages will be provided for those who qualify. Experience Works SCSEP is available at no cost to people who meet eligibility criteria. This program provides paid community service assignments at local pubic & non-profit organizations, training, referral to needed services, & job search assistance. With updated skills, participants use their community service training as a springboard to permanent jobs with our local employers.   The program provides paid community service assignments at local public & non-profit organizations, training, referral to needed services, & job assistance. Program applicants must be age 55 or older, unemployed, living here in Shelby, Browning, Havre, Great Falls, Glasgow, or Lewistown & have incomes of $23,964 per year or less for a family of 1 ($18,913 a family of 2).
