The Lady Wolves will move on to meet a very formidable Fairfield Eagle team on Friday afternoon at 3pm after a 60/53 win over the Rocky Boy Morning Stars at noon today. Rocky Boy will take a break and hit the court again on Saturday at 10:30 am
Here we go again with another post-season weekend to follow our local teams around the state while they seek a title! We have the Fairfield Eagles and Choteau Bulldogs going to represent the Northern B Division in Bozeman at the All-Class State Volleyball Tournament at Brick Breeden Fieldhouse in Bozeman and we have the Valier Panthers travelling to Big Sandy to vie for the opportunity to play the State Championship
The pairings are all set for the start of the Northern B Divisional Volleyball Tournament in Choteau to begin on Thursday. Our local area will be represented by teams from Choteau, Fairfield, Cut Bank and Conrad (in that order), they will meet teams from the 2B tournament that was held in Malta over the weekend
The first round of the 2012-2013 High School Football Playoffs got underway with one Class B Contest featuring the Choteau Bulldogs and the Bigfork Vikings in Bigfork in a game heard on KZIN Friday night
This week's athletes are a well know athlete from Fairfield and a young athlete from Valier who's just getting started:
Senior Wide Receiver, Colin Allen of Fairfield is a big play maker for the Eagles. In their win over Cut Bank in the final week of the regular season Allen scored two touchdowns (about his average) and caught a BIG 74 Yard pass for a score in the game. Allen is also the extra point man for the Eagles and he got three of those. He finished the game with five catches for 180 yards.
Our female athlete of the week this week is Sophomore Hitter Stephanie BullChild of Valier. Bullchild is described by her coach as "hardworking and extremely coachable". Stephanie is a real force in the front row.
