Teenager Shocked After Catching Teacher on Video Stealing from Students’ Backpacks

Sure, teachers may be underpaid, but there’s got to be a better way for them to make some extra money besides stealing.

From their students.

A sophomore at Linden High School, in Linden, California, caught her gym teacher taking money out of students’ backpacks and managed to capture it on video.

Justine Betti said students had noticed things had been disappearing from their backpacks all year, so she took it upon herself to hide inside a locker to see if she could get to the bottom of the mystery.

After spotting the unidentified gym teacher rifling through the bags, Justine decided to hide in a locker a second time earlier this month with her phone and caught the teacher in the act.

Justine was crushed, noting, “I didn’t want to believe that she would do something like that because she was so nice, but then she did it.”

Justine and some classmates went to the principal, who’s investigating the matter, while the teacher has been placed on leave. No charges have been filed.
