The "Blizzard of '32" that is, & that's the book we're currently enjoying during Montana History up at the Marias Heritage Center here in Shelby. II'll be there tonight (Tuesday) at 6 o'clock SHARP to read more of Montana author Rick Sterry's absolutely authentic tome. We're about 3/4 of the way through & I'm hating to see it coming to an end. I love the book & I love these people in the book. Talk about a slice of life! A son just out of the slammer in Deer Lodge, an estranged daughter, a Havre bootlegger, a husband who's a rounder-leaning a little bit on being a cad, a Lutheran minister, a mother who's on her way to the poorhouse, not to mention one of the worst blizzards in Montana history AND, that's on the 1st page, it gets worse. The Blizzard is the LEAST of these peoples' woes. I love it! See you this evening at 6 for more Montana History at the Heritage Center. By the way, Rick Sterry is a fantastic writer, having already written: "Over The Fence", "When Shotgun Goes Off Watch Out For Bear Trap", "Selected Stories", & his memoir, "Far Out: My Life on the Edge." I want to read them all! Keep writing Rick.
